The Hempfield Woman's Club has annouced that Alison Backes was named the January Student of the Month. Alison, the daughter of Fred and Julia Backes, was selected by the Art Department of the Hempfield School District for the honor.
Alison is a member of the National Art Honor Society. Her post-graduation plans include continuing to build her online following as she sells her art.
