Martin Library, 159 E. Market St., York, will offer a series of upcoming educational and entertaining programs for adults that explore art, history, computer skills, and more. "Ten Thousand Voices: The Carlisle Indian Industrial School" will be presented at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16. The program will highlight artifacts that depict the diverse experiences of more than 10,000 students who attended the institution during a 40-year program of forced assimilation. This program is part of the One Book, One Community series of programs around the title "Killers of the Flower Moon" by David Grann.
"Chief Pontiac's Rebellion" will be presented by Stephen Runkle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27. Runkle will explore the causes of the Native American rebellion led by the Ottawa Chief Pontiac against the English colonies. The program is part of the One Book, One Community series of programs.
"Armchair Travel of the RMS Titanic" will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 2 p.m. Local resident Jim May will take attendees on a tour of his trip to the RMS Titanic wreck site on the 100th anniversary.
Additional programs for adults include Intro to Microsoft Word on Feb. 16 at 10 a.m.; Suicide Prevention Workshop on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 5 p.m.; Native American Artifacts from the Susquehanna River Valley on Sunday, March 3, at 2 p.m.; Intro to Microsoft Excel on Saturday, March 16, at 10 a.m.; Budgeting 101 on Saturday, March 23, at 10:30 a.m.; The Hanover Eagles on Sunday, March 24, at 1 p.m.; and Emergency Preparedness on Saturday, March 30, at 2 p.m.
