Scholarship Applications Sought

H.O.P.E. (Help for Oncology Problems and Emotional Support) is accepting applications for the Jeannette Cartwright Memorial Scholarship. Each spring, in memory of its co-founder, Jeannette Cartwright, H.O.P.E. awards an academic scholarship to a high school senior who has an immediate family member diagnosed with cancer or who has recently lost a family member to cancer.

The successful candidate must have someone within his or her immediate household with cancer, must demonstrate a financial need, and must be accepted into a college or trade school. Scholarship winners must then prove completion of one year of the college or trade school of their choice.

The application deadline is Friday, March 15. The scholarship will be awarded in May. To obtain an application, students may contact their guidance counselor or visit http://www.hopelifeline.org. More information may be received by calling the H.O.P.E. office at 717-227-2824.
