Eastern Lancaster County Library (ELANCO Library) is celebrating Love Your Library Month in February by sponsoring a Share the Love program. Love Your Library Month is an initiative to encourage residents to invest in their local libraries.
The Share the Love program offers community members an opportunity to help pay off children's fines at the library. The program's purpose is to encourage children and their families to return to the library, as fines may sometimes deter families from coming back to the library.
Through Thursday, Feb. 28, community members may choose an amount from the Giving Tree and go to the circulation desk to make a donation in that amount. Several giving levels are available. The children who benefit will be selected randomly, and the donation will be completely anonymous.
