Manheim Central Middle School students recently participated in a spelling bee. The top four students were seventh-grader Aaron Vogel, eighth-grader Kathryn Glover, seventh-grader Averie Kemberling, and seventh-grader Gavin Achen. The winner was Aaron Vogel.
The top four spellers from the school-level contest will take a written test on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Conestoga Valley. High performers on the written test may participate in the next level of the spelling bee on Friday, March 22, also at Conestoga Valley.
In addition to Aaron, Kathryn, Averie, and Gavin, the following students participated in Manheim Central Middle School's spelling bee: sixth-graders Elisa Rankin, Isabel Mayfield, Kayden Dietrich, Lily Temple, Landon Cash, Kiana Zimmerman, Matthew Stephens, Quinn Hoover, and Avery Krell; seventh-graders Julie Lindberg, Katrina Alvarez-Green, Payton Wilkinson, Owen Eichelberger, Jordan Miller, Brycen Armold, and James Colon; and eighth-graders Brian Thythavong, Labeeb Rahman, Tyler Sprought, Jonathan Wenger, Sophia Garman, Kaitlyn Beachy, Ava Nauman, Helen Slacik, Jordan Zook, Madison Hilliard, and Alexandria Bleacher.
