All four Lower Dauphin High School musicians who performed in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 7 Orchestra qualified for the 15-county regional festival from Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 21 to 23. Students Annie Dickinson, violin I; Christian Gingrich and Vanessa Skidmore, string bass; and Ian Bruce, trombone, qualified for the district festival after auditioning in December.
The district festival was held in January at Central Dauphin High School. The repertoire included Berlioz's "Roman Carnival Overture" and Rimsky-Korsakov's "Scheherazade."
