Toastmasters Make Donation

During its recent holiday party, the Ephrata Cloister Toastmasters Club collected canned food goods from its members. Afterward, the canned goods and other food items were donated to the Ephrata Area Social Services.

The Ephrata Area Social Services serves approximately 45 families. All the items are donated. The operation is run completely by volunteers. The average expenditure per month on perishable items is $450, providing milk, butter, eggs, chicken, and bread.

The Ephrata Cloisters Toastmasters Club meets on the second and fourth Mondays at 6:15 p.m. at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, 169 Martin Ave., Ephrata. Interested individuals are encouraged to join the club for a complimentary introductory meeting. For more information, readers may call 717-475-7722.
