The 2019 Pennsylvania Forage Conference (PFGC) will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg, 604 Station Road, Grantville. Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m., with the program beginning at 9 a.m. Industry professionals and farmers will learn about educational topics pertaining to forage production.
The speakers will include farmers who have years of experience making dry hay, haylage, and grazing. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with producers and interact with exhibitors from both industry and government. Participant sessions will be geared to provide practical information on topics such as "Weather Update - 2019 Growing Season Projection," "Forage Diseases," "Forage from PA to CA: Many Systems, Common Goals," "Operation Overview," and "Ecotypes and Endophytes: What's New in Tall Fescue Varieties?" This year, the conference will also be broadcast in real time to satellite locations in Bradford, Union, Mercer, and Westmoreland counties.
