County Announces Application Process

York County has officially left the civil service hiring process, which may make it easier for job seekers to apply for employment within any of the county's human services agencies, including Children, Youth and Families; Area Agency on Aging; York/Adams MH-IDD program, and the York/Adams Drug and Alcohol Commission. This change was made effective Feb. 1 after the county received approval from the Pennsylvania Office of Administration.

Through the county's Human Resources Department, individuals may apply online for jobs within York County government's 50 departments.

York County is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All hiring, promotions, demotions, training, and other opportunities are based on qualifications and without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, or disability.

The link to apply for all county positions is available at http://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/yorkcountypa. Once there, readers may sign up for job notifications, which alert job seekers of openings in specific departments.
