Dramatists Plan Reading

The Lancaster Dramatists' Platform will present a reading of "The Convert's Farewell," a new play by Tyler Rossi, on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. in the Maureen Powers Room at the YWCA Lancaster, 110 N. Lime St. The play is directed by Matthew Good, and the cast includes Griffin Yeyna, John Kleimo, Josh Dorsheimer, Jeremiah Miller, Jules Diehl, Gabrielle Sheller, Chet Williamson, and Jedidiah Franklin.

Rossi is a Pottsville native studying theater at Elizabethtown College. His 10-minute play "What Melvin Bought for This Week's Game Night" was presented at The 24 Hour Plays: Lancaster by Creative Works of Lancaster.

The Lancaster Dramatists' Platform was formed in 2005 and has presented many plays by various members, several of which have been developed into fully staged productions. The group meets twice per month to read and discuss new works, as well as to plan and rehearse public readings.
