Students at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic School in Ephrata recently completed a student-led service project that involved collecting items to make care packages for deployed members of the U.S. military. Students created flyers, served as student ambassadors for each classroom, and organized the collection of items. Donated items ranged included shampoo, toothbrushes, peanut butter, trail mix, batteries and decks of cards. A dress-down day was held to raise funds to cover the cost of postage. A total of 25 packages were shipped to deployed military members around the world.
