Groups Partner To Present Training

An opioid overdose reversal training will take place on Tuesday, April 16, at the Community Place on Washington (CPOW), 61 E. Washington St., Elizabethtown. One-hour sessions will be held at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.

The sessions will include basic information about opioids, appropriate steps, rescue breathing, naloxone adminitration, information about standing orders for naloxone, and how to obtain naloxone through insurance. James Severson from Project Lazarus will share his personal recovery story and lead the training sessions.

Participants will receive a free naloxone kit and a free prescription lockbox. One person in each session will win a gift card.

Hope Within Ministries, Project Lazarus, and Elizabethtown Area Communities That Care are jointly offering the training.
