The Semi-Chocolate Stroll and Silent Auction returned to United Zion Retirement Community (UZRC) on Feb. 23 after a two-year hiatus due to construction and renovations. The event drew more than 160 attendees.
The event featured 14 different stops, with tidbits and morsels created by UZRC staff members and residents as well as local chocolate companies. Guests also participated in a silent auction featuring gift cards and certificates, admission tickets and experiences, artwork, gift bags and other items.
Proceeds will go toward benevolent care, which will enable residents to continue receiving the same quality care and services should their own resources become unable to cover the full cost of care.
UZRC is located at 722 Furnace Hills Pike, 1 mile north of Lititz. For more information, readers may visit http://www.uzrc.org or search for "United Zion Retirement Community" on Facebook.
