GEARS Sets Schedule

Zumba Gold, a toned-down version of Zumba, will be offered on Mondays, March 25 to May 20, from 6 to 6:45 p.m. in the Memorial Hall gym at Masonic Village, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown. The aerobics-type class, geared toward deconditioned people, beginner exercisers, and active older adults, will be led by Judy McMillen, a licensed Zumba Gold instructor.

POUND, a cardio jam session inspired by playing the drums, will be led by certified POUND instructor Courtney Lesnick on Tuesdays, March 26 to May 28, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Masonic Village Memorial Hall gym. Using lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercise, the class will feature a full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and Pilates-inspired movements. The class is for people age 14 and up, and participants should bring a yoga mat.

Two yoga classes will be taught by Michelle Pelna in the Masonic Village Lodge meeting room on Thursdays, March 28 to May 23. The classes are for people age 14 and up, and participants should bring a yoga mat. Gentle/Beginner Yoga, set for 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., will focus on fundamental yoga postures using safe alignment and modifications. Vinyasa Yoga, set for 9:15 to 10:15 a.m., will focus on strength poses, flow, and balance; previous yoga experience is helpful but not required, as modifications will be offered.

A Splash Bash for people of all ages will be offered at the Masonic Village Patton Pool on Friday, March 22, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Attendees should bring a swimsuit and a towel. Advance registration is not required, and the per-person fee may be paid at the door.
