The Shiloh Lions Club recently awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship award to LeVern Krout. This international award is the highest honor from the Lions Club International Foundation that embodies humanitarian ideas consistent with the nature and purpose of Lionism.
The recipient of this award becomes a model of service to the Shiloh Lions Club and to the community it serves. Krout was given the award for his friendship, commitment, and service as a Lion for 19 years. He has managed the parking for West Manchester Township's Olde Tyme Carnival since its inception and was the club's representative on the township's Recreation Advisory Committee. He is known for his dependability and encouragement of a spirit of comradery with his fellow Lions.
