DVS Plans Spring Gala

Apr 13, 2019 - 6:00 pm

Domestic Violence Services (DVS), a program of Community Action Partnership, will hold its 16th annual spring gala, "Celebrating the Journey," on Saturday, April 13, at the Lancaster Country Club, 1466 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, from 6 to 11 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m.

The night will celebrate the journeys and courage of domestic violence survivors. The inaugural Catalyst for Change Award, which recognizes community members and organizations that support the mission of DVS, will be presented to Susan Van Zant, founder of Jan's Circle of Friends, an organization that advocates for survivors and fundraises to give back to programs that assist children who have experienced parental loss or are survivors of domestic violence. In five years, the organization has raised more than $183,400.

In addition to the award presentation, the event will feature hors d'oeuvres and a plated dinner, along with a disc jockey and dancing. Auction prizes will include a waterfront getaway, an overnight trip to a Penn State University football game, a behind-the-scenes experience at a Lititz production company, a Barnstormers Manager for a Day experience, and more.

Separate costs have been set for individual tickets and for tables of eight. Tickets must be reserved by Thursday, April 4.
