York County Literacy Council (YCLC) is sponsoring citizenship instruction and naturalization services. Lessons will include American Government, American History - Citizenship, Test Preparation - N-400 Interview, English Language Lessons for Reading - Writing, Consultation on the Naturalization and Application Processes, and Assimilation Activities.
Legal assistance will be provided by the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center (PIRC) and may include eligibility screening; legal analysis; application and fee waiver assistance, if eligible; submission of the N-400 to USCIS; possible representation at a naturalization interview; assistance applying for citizenship for minor children; and referrals for other legal services.
While legal services are free, individuals may be responsible for some application-related fees. Enrollment is limited to applicants who qualify on a pre-test.
To register for an orientation, readers may contact YCLC at 717-845-8719 or email info@yorkliteracy.org. More information may also be received at http://www.yorkliteracy.org.
