Attendees will learn how to improve their property to give pollinators a home. The program will be presented by Ryan Davis, Chesapeake Forests Program manager of the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. The program is free and open to the public, but registration is requested.
The 19th annual Spring Native Plant Sale will be held rain or shine on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Schaffner Park, Parkside Avenue, Hummelstown. Featuring many native perennials, trees, and shrubs from Manada Conservancy and other regional vendors, the event will also include nature-themed art vendors, live music, and refreshments. The event is a fundraiser to support the conservancy's land preservation and environmental education efforts.
