On Saturday, May 4, the Friends of the Tanger Arboretum will kick off their six-part 2019 Nature Series. The Nature Series is a low-cost program that covers a variety of topics related to gardening and wildlife.
All programs will be held at LancasterHistory, 230 N. President Ave., Lancaster. The 2019 lineup of programs includes Blooms and Birds on Saturday, May 4, at 10 a.m.; Tips for Container Gardening on Saturday, June 1, at 10 a.m.; Attracting Hummingbirds on Saturday, June 29, at 10 a.m.; What's Not to Love About a Bluebird? on Saturday, July 20, at 10 a.m.; Creating Habitats for Butterflies on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 10 a.m.; and Bats and Owls Under the Full Moon on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 6:30 p.m.
A majority of the programs will be led by a Lancaster Central park naturalist, but will also feature guest presenters. Tickets are discounted for children and free to Tanger Arboretum members.
