Three Lampeter-Strasburg High School students received recognition from the district's safety committee for their original safety posters. All of this year's winners took inspiration from pop culture to create their designs.
Freshman Maya Bowman won first place for her impaired driving awareness poster. Junior Madalyn Ruof won second place for her electric shock awareness poster. Freshman Keiva Middleton won third place for her safety goggle awareness poster.
The district's safety committee sponsored the contest and chose the winners, who received gift cards as prizes. Their artwork will be displayed in several school buildings over the next few years.
