As part of an effort to end food insecurity, an Empty Bowls event will take place at Kevin Lehman's Pottery and Lancaster Creative Factory, 560 S. Prince St., Lancaster, on Sunday, April 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. The event will include a simple meal of soup served in handmade ceramic bowls. Bread will also be served. Easily Amused will provide live music, and the event will also feature glass-blowing demonstrations.
Food for the meal has been donated by more than 25 local restaurants, chefs, and bakeries. In addition, members of the Lancaster County community and local artists have created one-of-a-kind ceramic bowls for the dinner.
