As the result of a partnership between York County Food Bank, York County's Shooting Irish Lacrosse Club, and S3 Performance, the Stick It to Hunger event will kick off Hunger Free Mondays on Monday, May 6, with the York Revolution at PeoplesBank Park, 5 Brooks Robinson Way, York. The event will encourage team pride and commitment to this partnership with athletes and families wearing their team jerseys and joining the game. Donations in the form of foods and goods will provide access to the event.
The partnership creates a sustainable, evergreen model with events throughout the year to support the mission of the York County Food Bank. It targets children feeding children to develop an emotional connection of youth lacrosse with youths in need in York County.
The York County Food Bank and the Shooting Irish Lacrosse Club invite everyone to bring a nonperishable food item on May 6 to PeoplesBank Park for the first Monday night game of the season. People who bring a food item will receive free admission to the game.
