Historic Poole Forge, 1940 Main St., Narvon, will present "Fire - Risks, Benefits and How to Be Prepared for It" on Tuesday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Poole Forge Mansion. Steven Sass will be the presenter.
The talk is appropriate for school-age children, but it is specifically designed for adults with a special emphasis for seniors. There will be a question-and-answer time.
Sass is an honors graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, and he has a master's degree from the University of Chicago. He is a Vietnam veteran who accumulated years of experience at major corporations before forming Crestline Industries, of which he is president. Poole Forge plans to treat its covered bridge with a fire retardant distributed by Sass' company this summer.
