Martin Meylin Middle School students participated in the 35th annual regional MATHCOUNTS competition at Millersville University on Feb. 23. In a field of 206 students, Martin Meylin's participants all placed in the top 40 percent, and nine placed in the top 20 percent.
The team consisting of Bethany Barrall, Ian Bender, Grace Burdge, and Owen Dean finished in fourth place overall. Individually, Owen came in 16th place, Krista Lambert in 15th, Gracie Albright in 12th, and Rowan Kimmel in fourth. Rowan advanced to the final countdown competition and competed in the state competition in Harrisburg on March 15 and 16.
