The Hershey Lions Club Foundation will hold its 30th annual Henry F. Nixon Memorial Amateur Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 1. The event will take place at Manada Golf Club, 609 Golf Lane, Grantville.
The registration fee will include 18 holes of golf, use of a golf cart, door prizes, and a catered dinner. Registration will take place from noon to 12:45 p.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The format will be a four-person scramble.
Proceeds from the event will benefit projects of the Hershey Lions Club Foundation, including eye exams and glasses, sponsorship of youth sports teams, student scholarship awards, and support for the Hershey Food Bank, the Hershey High Parents Club, and the student backpack program. During its first 29 years, the event has raised a total of nearly $150,000, all of which has benefited the community.
