Three mini-camps will be held this summer in the training room at the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster. The camps will take place from 9 a.m. to noon and will include instruction and hands-on experience in each subject. For 4-H members, projects created in camps can be used for Showcase. The three camps will be STEM Camp from Monday through Friday, June 17 through 21; Creative Arts Camp from Monday through Friday, July 29 through Aug. 2; and Wool Felting from Monday through Thursday, July 8 through 11. Cake Decorating: Fun With Fondant will be a class held at the Farm and Home Center in the training room on Saturday, May 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for youths age 8 and up as of Jan. 1. Youths will be baking, making flowers in royal icing and fondant, learning and practicing techniques and creating a finished decorated cake. A supply list will be given upon registration. A STEM Challenge will be held at Heritage Creek Farm Camp, 1875 Milton Grove Road, Mount Joy, on Saturdays, June 22, July 20, Aug. 17 and Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. Registrants must commit to all four Saturdays. Most building will take place at home between sessions. The program is for youths age 8 and up as of Jan. 1.
