Students Recognized For Good Deeds

Two Lower Dauphin students received Do the Right Thing recognition by Lower Dauphin Communities That Care and the Hummelstown Police Department.

Londonderry Elementary School third-grader Cadence Youtz was recognized after she turned in money found in the hallway and on another occasion stood up to another student who was not being kind to a classmate. She was nominated by teacher Karli Hatten.

Lower Dauphin Middle School eighth-grader Abigail Carter was recognized for inspiring those around her and encouraging her classmates through positive feedback, reassurance, and kind words.

The students received gift cards, T-shirts, certificates, and pizza coupons.

The Do the Right Thing program recognizes students in the Lower Dauphin community who have distinguished themselves through their accomplishments, attitude or outstanding efforts. Any adult over the age of 18 can nominate a child.
