The 2019 Outdoor Music Friday season will open on Friday, May 17, in Binns Park, 100 N. Queen St. Music Friday's outdoor season will run through September on the third Friday of each month.
Each Music Friday will feature a signature concert in Binns Park and more than 20 street spots of live music around Lancaster city.
Every third Friday of the month from May to September, the City of Lancaster hosts Music Fridays. Music Fridays are a collaborative effort between the City of Lancaster Office of Promotion and Music for Everyone to promote local talent, promote the city's live music scene, and increase activity in Lancaster city for visitors and locals.
All signature concerts will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. The schedule will include Jazz in the City on May 17, Trash Juice on June 21, All Systems Go on July 19, Fierce on Aug. 16, and the Young Musicians Showcase on Sept. 20.
Jazz in the City will feature local student groups from Lincoln Middle School, Pequea Valley Middle School, Solanco Middle School, and Manheim Township Middle School.
The Young Musicians Showcase will spotlight the talent of local young musicians ages 12 to 19 who are invited to audition to perform during September's Music Friday.
