Pathways Opens Enrollment

Pathways, which offers an alternative schooling method, is open for enrollment for the 2019-20 school year for students in third through 11th grades. Pathways is a micro-hybrid school that meets on a four-day/three-day model. The micro-hybrid model keeps class enrollment size low in number and offers an educational opportunity that is a cross between traditional schooling and homeschooling. Students attend school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and alternating Mondays. Assignments are provided for students via an online program on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Pathways focuses on delivering a Christ-centered, quality academic program that emphasizes environmental studies and project-based and hands-on learning, along with service learning in local communities. Teachers serve as facilitators who guide students in researching and learning with projects that address real-life questions and issues. Students work collaboratively with each other, faculty, and community members to develop projects that benefit the larger community. It emphasizes creative and critical thinking to prepare students for life beyond the classroom.

The school is situated within the Brecknock Township area. For additional information, readers may visit http://www.pathwayslancaster.org or contact info@pathwayslancaster.org or 717-553-0017.
