The Chancel Choir of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 311 Haines Road, York, will perform Joseph M. Martin's "One Holy Light, One Heavenly Flame" on Sunday, June 2, during the 11 a.m. worship service.
In 2007, Eastminster's Chancel Choir commissioned this composition as a tribute to Gretchen Dekker for her years of service to the church. Decker, who was director of music from 1996 to 2006, will accompany the choir. Randy Yoder, Eastminster's current director of music, will conduct. Communion will be celebrated and pastor Steve Lytch will deliver the sermon, titled "Jesus in the Marketplace," at both 9 and 11 a.m. Weather permitting, the 9 a.m. service will be held at the Outdoor Worship Center on the church's wooded campus.
