Lanternfly Sessions Set

Penn State Extension educators will present information on the spotted lanternfly, an invasive pest that threatens Pennsylvania agriculture and home gardens. Duplicate sessions will be held on Thursday, May 30, at noon and 7 p.m. at the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, off Manheim Pike in Lancaster.

Timothy Elkner will discuss how to recognize the spotted lanternfly and what homeowners can and should do to help stop its spread. The sessions will also touch on the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture's permitting process for businesses.

The sessions will be repeated in July and September. Participants in the noon session are welcome to bring their lunch. This program is free, but registration is required at https://extension.psu.edu/spotted-lanternfly-public-meetings or by calling 877-345-0691.
