Summer Storytime will take place on Wednesdays, June 12 to Aug. 7, at 11 a.m. A museum educator will read aloud from a book centered on a historical theme and then lead a craft inspired by the theme. Summer Storytime is open to all children, though it is recommended for youngsters ages 4 through 9. The program is free.

"Mamma Mia!" will be presented as part of Thirsty for History Thursday at the Fulton Theatre, 12 N. Prince St., Lancaster, on Thursday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m.

Teaching American History: Causes of the Civil War will be offered on Saturday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The seminar for teachers will offer three sessions to help teachers better understand the elements of the Civil War: "Advent of the Slave Power," "Abolition and Southern Resistance," and "The Conflict Defined." Teachers will also get a behind-the-scenes tour of related content in LancasterHistory's collections. The free seminar is accredited.

"'Not Too Rash, Yet Not Fearful': 225 Years of Journalism in Lancaster County" will open on Wednesday, June 19, in Ryder Hall. In a new collaborative exhibition with LancasterHistory, a local newspaper company will share its history. Admission may be paid at the door. The exhibit will run through Saturday, Sept. 7.

Attracting Hummingbirds, a program of the Tanger Arboretum Nature Series, will be offered on Saturday, June 29, at 10 a.m. Participants will learn about the lifecycle of the ruby-throated hummingbird and how to make one's yard a special place for hummingbirds to return to every year. Advance tickets are strongly recommended as programs typically sell out.

"Go at Your Own Pace" Saturday Tours at Wheatland will be held on June 29. Tours will begin every 15 minutes from 1 to 3 p.m. Guides will be stationed throughout the presidential mansion as visitors tour at their own pace. The ticket price also includes admission to the museum exhibitions at LancasterHistory.
