The 54 members of the Class of 2019 graduated in Lancaster Country Day School's (LCDS) 111th commencement ceremony on May 25.

A variety of commencement awards were presented at the ceremony.
Thomas Westbrook, David Winner, and William Messick won the Trustee Prize, awarded to the seniors with the highest cumulative grade point average.
Courtney Corrado won the Ruth S. Hostetter Award, recognizing a senior who has worked selflessly and enthusiastically to enhance the school community.
Alexandra Jaramillo won the Ann Musselman Award, given to the student who best exemplifies enthusiastic curiosity, the courage to take intellectual risks, and joy in a lifetime of learning.
David Del Terzo won the Faculty Award, given to the student who embodies a true love of learning, contributes to the intellectual life of the school, and is a model citizen.
Matt Gerace and Alexa Stadel won the Head of School Award, recognizing the seniors most deserving of special recognition for their leadership, school spirit, persistence, and civic virtue.
Awards were also presented at an earlier ceremony. These included the following: Music Award, Kendall Kubis; Karen Stork Memorial Award/Theatre, Kendall Kubis and David Winner; Visual Arts Award, Carly Civello; Dance Award, Alexandra Jaramillo; English Award, Lauren Novosat; Elizabeth Ross Award, Sara Stinchcomb; Lancaster History Award, David Del Terzo; History Award, David Winner; Mathematics Award, Cara Gosselin; and Science Award, Matthew Gerace.
The following foreign language awards were presented: French, Thomas Westbrook; Latin, Tessa Barrett and Marley Kinsey; Spanish, Katherine Sebelist and Alexandra Jaramillo; and Chinese, Sophia Hawthorne and Alexandra Jaramillo.
Sports awards included Female Athlete of the Year, McKayla Forman; Male Athlete of the Year, Luke Walling; PIAA E. Jerry Brooks Award, Matthew Gerace; and PIAA Fackler-Hower Sportsmanship Award, Allison Messick and Konrad Lojewski.
Other awards were as follows: Jarvis Scholar Award, Hasan Maqbool; Jarvis Citizen Award, Anna Sotirescu; LCDS Community Service Award, Gabriela Nahm; Helen Powlison Memorial Prize, Gabriela Nahm; Danny Eshleman '97 Memorial Award, Christopher Matthews; and Jay B. Niesley Award, Ahsanti Duncan.
