The Community Calendar is a weekly feature of the Community Courier.
Local clubs, civic organizations, nonprofit agencies, schools, etc., that would like to have events or meeting date information published, should contact the Community Courier in writing at least two weeks before the event. No items will be accepted over the phone.

TOPS Meeting
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a weight-loss support group, will meet on Thursday, June 13 (and every Thursday), at Tel Hai Retirement Community's Garrett Center in Honey Brook. Weigh-in is from 5:30 to 6 p.m., and the meeting starts at 6 p.m. The first meeting is free to guests. For information, contact Marcia at 484-238-4559.
Society Security Seminar
Honey Brook Community Library, 687 Compass Road, Honey Brook, will offer a Social Security seminar on Thursday, June 13, at 6 p.m. There will be help available, and attendees may ask questions about how to plan for retirement.

Seniors Meeting
The Honey Brook Senior Citizens will meet at Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, 4331 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, on Thursday, June 13, at 11:30 a.m. The program will be "Games and Fellowship." All seniors are invited to attend and asked to bring picnic food to share and an unwrapped item for the prize table.
Breakfast With The Bible
Alan Lindsay, senior warden of the Church of Saint Mary at Calvary in Elverson, will host Breakfast With the Bible on Friday, June 14, at 8:30 a.m. at the Morgantown Coffee House, 4997 N. Twin Valley Road, Elverson.
Attendees should bring a Bible and may enjoy coffee, tea, and/or breakfast. The community is invited to participate.
Flag Retirement
The community is invited to join resident veterans at The Heritage of Green Hills, local Elks and Boy Scouts for a flag retirement ceremony on Saturday, June 15.
The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. at The Heritage of Green Hills, 200 Tranquility Lane, Shillington. Boy Scouts will lead the flag-burning ceremony in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code and BSA Handbook. Those who have a flag to be retired may drop it off at The Heritage of Green Hills by Friday, June 14.
Art On The Avenue
West Reading will host its 25th annual Art on the Avenue, Berks County's premiere art and music festival, on Saturday, June 15, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Penn Avenue. The rain or shine juried event will showcase the work of local and regional artists, crafters, vendors, West Reading businesses, musicians and other talents.

Yoga, Line Dancing
Living God Lutheran Church, 3200 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, will offer yoga classes for beginners on Sunday, June 16 (and every Sunday through July 14), from 3 to 4 p.m. Participants are asked to wear appropriate exercise gear and bring their own mat.
Line dancing and country dancing lessons will also be offered on Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m. Lessons are designed for beginner/novice dancers, but there will be more advanced dances for those who have been dancing for some time. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and children are welcome.
Admission to both activities will be free, though attendees are asked to bring nonperishable food items that the church will then donate to either the Honey Brook Food Pantry or Twin Valley Food Pantry. For more information, call the church office at 610-273-9383.

Free Clothing
Birdsboro Church of the Nazarene, 715 E. Third St., Birdsboro, will hold a free clothing giveaway on Wednesday, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. and every fourth Wednesday of the month.
Families from any borough or township may come and shop for needed clothing for free. It is not necessary to provide income information. Items that will be offered include clothing for all; shoes; belts, purses and accessories; and household items.
The community is invited to donate items. Especially needed are hygiene products, summer clothing, sandals, sneakers, towels, kitchen items and baby items in good condition, including strollers, pack 'n' plays, bottles and cups.
