The Emerging Philanthropist Program (EPP), a joint project of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) and Harrisburg Young Professionals (HYP), has announced that the 2019 EPP Grant application is now available and accepting submissions. In 2019, the EPP program seeks grant proposals from nonprofit organizations providing mental health support programs, with a preference for those providing direct mental health services in Harrisburg and the surrounding areas.
Organizations are not required to be located in Harrisburg and the surrounding areas, but they must provide services within or to these areas. Eligible organizations meeting this criteria are invited to apply for a one-time grant of $5,000, and select applicants will be asked to complete an interview and/or a site visit with the EPP participants as part of the grant review process.
Proposed projects may take place at any time during the grant year beginning Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, and ending on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020. Applicants must either be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or have a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization act as a fiscal sponsor for the proposed project.
Applications must be submitted by Thursday, Aug. 1, and notification of grant awards will be made in the fall. To learn more, review the grant guidelines, and apply, readers may visit http://www.tfec.org/grants/emerging-philanthropist-program-grant/.
