Penn State Extension will offer three free workshops for individuals interested in learning more about Alzheimer's disease and dementia. All workshops will run from 2 to 3 p.m. at Lebanon Valley Agricultural Center, 2120 Cornwall Road, Suite 1, Lebanon.
The "10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's" program will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6. The program will show participants how to recognize common signs of the disease and what to watch for in themselves and others. "Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia" will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20. The program will explore the relationship between Alzheimer's disease and dementia, explain the risk factors and the general stages of Alzheimer's disease, and offer Alzheimer's Association resources. The "Alzheimer's Disease: Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body" program is designed for individuals of any age who are interested in healthy living and aging well.
