Theater Will Present "Annie"

Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, 510 Centerville Road, Lancaster, will present the musical "Annie." Performances will run from Thursday, June 27, through Saturday, Aug. 10.

"Annie" includes the songs "It's A Hard Knock Life," "Easy Street," "You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile," "I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here," "Maybe" and "Tomorrow."

Inspired by a Depression-era comic strip, "Little Orphan Annie," the show was brought to Broadway in 1977, winning the Tony for Best Musical and running for more than 2,300 performances. In 1982, it was made into a film. Since then, the show has been performed all over the world.

"Annie" will feature a cast of professional adult actors, local children and a dog. The cast will feature Piper Sobon as Annie, Victor Legarreta as Oliver Warbucks, Meagan Michelson as Miss Hannigan, Bennett Leeds as Rooster, and Theresa Walker as Lily St. Regis. The cast will also include 20 local youths including Emily Beckman, Zoe Buchanan, Cora Cook, McKenna Donaldson, Olivia Eichler, Julie Eshenauer, Paige Fairbanks, Carly Geiter, Abby Leiboff, Clara Mecouch, Scarlett Meyer, Addison Niven, Arabelle Petersheim, Mychaela Rosario, Raya Samuel, Jayda Segal, Alyssa Shreiner, Grace Signor and Ariana Stambaugh. The youths will be double cast into two teams.
