The Living With Loss Support Group, for those who have experienced death of a spouse or family member, will meet on Wednesday, July 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Prayer and Meditation Room. The Caregivers Support Group, for family caregivers of persons with dementia, will meet on Monday, July 8, at 10 a.m. in the Concord Room. The meeting will include a viewing of videos by nationally recognized dementia expert Teepa Snow, followed by group discussion. Upon advance request, free respite care in Adult Day Services will be available during this group meeting time for those currently enrolled in Garden Spot Village Adult Day Services. The Essential Tremor Support Group, for individuals with essential tremors and their families and friends, will meet on Thursday, July 11, at 10 to 11 a.m. in the Garden Towers. Sol De Jesus, a neurologist with Penn State Hershey Neurology, will present. She will address dealing with side effects of medications, utilizing medication to help with anxiety and surgical updates. The Parkinson's Support Group will meet on Monday, July 22, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Garden Towers. This month's meeting will include the presentation "Staying Strong" by Susan Ludwig, Parkinson's disease exercise specialist and owner of Rock Steady Lancaster. Free resources from the National Parkinson's Foundation will also be available. The support group is open to those with Parkinson's and their caregivers, family and friends.
