Baldwin Earns Eagle Scout Rank

Matthew Baldwin Jr. achieved the rank of Eagle Scout on Nov. 18, 2018, after 12 years of Scouting. This is the highest rank in Boy Scouts. He earned 32 merit badges, which earned him two palms above Eagle.

Baldwin celebrated with a Court of Honor ceremony on Jan. 14, 2019, at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Holtwood, where Troop 2 is chartered.

During his time in Scouting, Baldwin held the positions of den leader, assistant patrol leader, and senior patrol leader and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He attended the National Youth Leadership Course to help him in leadership roles through Scouting and throughout his life.

Baldwin's Eagle project was the study and planting of seven trees in the Pequea Campground.

Baldwin graduated from Penn Manor High School on June 4 and will attend Thaddues Stevens College of Technology in the fall to study graphic design. He is the son of Lisa and Andrew Nichlos and Matthew Baldwin Sr., and the grandson of Gary and Barbara Seiverling.
