Surviving Spouse Socials To Meet

The regular meeting of Surviving Spouse Socials is held on the first Tuesday of every month except for August and December. The purpose of this group is to help those who have been widowed for some time to move on with their lives. All widowed men and women are welcome to attend.

On Mondays, July 15, Aug. 19 and Sept. 16, at noon at Old Country Buffet, Route 30, York, the group will meet to eat lunch and play cards or games. The group is planning additional socials, including a York Revolution baseball game on Friday, July 12; a Snyder's chip and pretzel factory tour on Wednesday, July 24, at 11 a.m.; the annual summer picnic on Saturday, Aug. 10, at noon at Lehr Park, Davidsburg Road, Dover; and "The Buddy Holly Story" at Belmont Theatre on Sunday, Aug. 18, at 3 p.m.

The group eats at different restaurants in York every Thursday at 6 p.m. Individuals can call 717-318-6366 or 717-434-5470 for the name of the restaurant and location or for more information about the social activities listed above.
