UPMC Lititz Launches New Program

UPMC Lititz has announced the opening of a new cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program, located at 1575 Highlands Drive, Building B, Suite 201, Lititz. The program will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services for people who have heart or lung conditions or who have recently had surgery.

For people with chronic bronchitis, emphysema, COPD, interstitial lung disease, or other lung conditions or who are post-lung transplant, pulmonary rehabilitation is intended to help them breathe better by providing outpatient education, exercise, and disease management.

For people who are discharged from the hospital after a heart attack or who have other forms of heart disease, cardiac rehabilitation is intended to help them to recover physically and emotionally with a medically supervised outpatient program that combines exercise and education.

Patients will need a referral from their primary care physician or a specialist for either program.
