Two Lancaster County rescue groups, Furever Home Adoption Center and the Pet Pantry, are once again partnering to raise funds and awareness for homeless animals, expand the Pet Food Bank Program, and offer low-cost spay/neuter/vaccination programs and low-cost mobile veterinary clinics and discounted veterinary services for animals. The fifth annual Summer Shopping Fair will be held on Saturday, July 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster.
The vendor and craft fair will include more than 100 local businesses, unique crafters, vendors, food, and more. This free, family-friendly, pet-friendly event will be held inside, rain or shine. The first 100 adult attendees will receive a free goodie bag filled with magazines, special offers, coupons, samples, and more.
Food and supply donations are being requested for both rescue groups. Dry cat and dog food in any brand or size is especially needed, as well as cleaning supplies such as bleach, paper towels, toilet paper, and more. For each donation given at the event, donors will be given a free ticket for a giveaway drawing.
A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, readers may contact Tina at flippers1@aol.com.
Furever Home and the Pet Pantry are also sponsoring a New Jersey beach bus trip to Wildwood or Cape May for the day on Saturday, July 27. The bus will stop at Wildwood for those wishing to disembark and spend the day in Wildwood instead of Cape May. All proceeds from the trip will benefit Furever Home and the Pet Pantry.
