The Broadway musical "Finding Neverland" will be presented at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, 510 Centerville Road, Lancaster, on select dates from Friday, Aug. 16, to Saturday, Sept. 21. These performances will begin the musical's tour, which will head to Florida this fall and then, in January, begin a cross-country tour that will also perform in Canada.
Based on the Academy Award-winning motion picture by David Magee and the play "The Man Who Was Peter Pan" by Allan Knee, "Finding Neverland" follows the relationship between playwright J.M. Barrie and the Davies family, which inspired "Peter Pan, or the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up."
The direction of "Finding Neverland" by Diane Paulus will be recreated by tour director Mia Walker and associate choreographer Camden Loeser. The musical has a book by Olivier Award-nominee James Graham, music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and Grammy Award-winner Eliot Kennedy, as well as original choreography by Emmy Award-winner Mia Michaels.
"Finding Neverland" will star Mark Bacon as J.M. Barrie; Josephine Florence Cooper as Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, the boys' mother; and Kirk Lawrence as the producer Charles Frohman and Captain Hook. The Davies boys will be double-cast, with Callaghan Petrovsky and Cole Gable as George, Seth Erdley and Dylan Jacob Loraw as Peter, Ethan Erdley and Jack Packer as Jack, and Alexander Schmick and Hutcheson Gregory as Michael.
The ensemble cast includes Emmanuelle Zeesman, Timothe Bittle, Nicholas Karl Brown, Dani Ciaramitaro, Desiree Dillon, Morgan Gillott, Nathan Edward Groth, Jake Kinney, Ashley McCormack, Justin Miller, Maddie Parrish, Jonathan Ragsdale, Justine Rima, Connor Simpson, Braden Sweeney, and Ashleigh Thompson.
Performances will take place on Tuesday through Sunday evenings with selected matinees. Separate ticket prices for dinner and the show have been set for adults, for children up to age 12, and for students ages 13 to 18. Group pricing is available for groups of 16 or more. To reserve tickets, readers may call 717-898-1900, visit http://www.DutchApple.com, or stop by the box office. "Finding Neverland" is produced by APEX Touring.
