Sheckells Named Administrator

Landis Communities recently hired Jennifer Sheckells as the director of risk management and compliance. In this new role, she will lead the development and management of policies across Landis Communities to ensure all entities are compliant with regulatory bodies and best practices. She will also coordinate programs such as risk management, and compliance. She will support all employees of Landis Communities affiliates through education and serving as a resource for concerns related to safety, regulations, and quality care.

Sheckells has worked in many roles in her 25-year career, including in administration at retirement communities and health centers. Since 2009, she worked as a compliance specialist for Friends Services for the Aging in Blue Bell. In that role, she provided risk management and compliance services, such as on-site visits, to many local retirement communities, including Landis Homes.

Sheckells received her Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts from Susquehanna University. She holds licenses in Pennsylvania as a nursing home administrator and as a personal care home administrator.

Sheckells, of Kennett Square, serves on the board of Luther House in Jennersville and is a choir member and Sunday school teacher at her church, St. Michael Lutheran. Sheckells enjoys spending time with her two teenage sons.
