First United Methodist Church, 64 W. Chocolate Ave., Hershey, has slated a concert and a day camp.
The church will present the King's Brass in concert on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 7 p.m. Tim Zimmerman and the King's Brass present hymn classics with a contemporary flair. The King's Brass features three trumpets, three trombones, a tuba, percussion, and keyboards. The concert is free and open to the public. An offering will be received.
A "Music Factory" day camp will be held on Monday to Friday, Aug. 12 to 16, except Wednesday, Aug. 14. The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, and children who have completed grades two to six may participate. Various music media will be presented and experienced throughout the week, including ukuleles, handbells, recorders, and tuned plastic tubes. The camp is free.
