Matthew Dodd's concert "Songs and Stories of Space" will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. The location wil depend on the weather and will be either the Locust Street Park's gazebo or the Park Elementary cafeteria; attendees may call or check for signage a day or two prior to event. Tommy the Reading Therapy Dog will be on hand at 11 a.m., meeting in the library's Children's Room if the concert is in the gazebo and in the Park Elementary cafeteria if the concert is held there.
Crochet Along With Kasey will be held on Tuesdays, Aug. 13 and 20. The class will not meet on Tuesday, Aug. 27. This month's project is dishcloths. Kasey will demonstrate some new stitch designs. Knitting with Gaile will be held on Thursdays, Aug. 8, 15, 22, and 29, and attendees should bring scissors and yarn or knitting needles if they have them. Beginners are welcome at both yarn arts classes.
Movies Under the Stars will take place in Locust Street Park at dusk on Friday, Aug. 16. "Dumbo" will be shown.
The library will offer Take Control of Your Tech on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 1:30 p.m. This Prime Timers program, led by operations manager Heather for people age 50 and older, will cover smartphones and tablet devices. Attendees are asked to call the library in advance to register and let staff know what kind of device(s) will bring.
