ASSETS Lancaster will hold its sixth annual Great Social Enterprise Pitch, featuring its "Final Five" participants, on Friday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster. A dessert and beverage party will follow the event.
The Great Social Enterprise Pitch is a business plan competition for local entrepreneurs with business ideas or start-ups that use a positive social and environmental impact model. Every July, a class of 10 is selected from a pool of applicants to go through a five-week intensive training process. Halfway through, the "Final Five" are selected and carefully coached to prepare to showcase their idea in front of a live audience.
This year's event will feature more audience interaction, text-to-give opportunities, a stage production, and more. Participants compete for a prize package including cash, pro-bono services, and the chance to be Lancaster's newest innovative business idea.
A cost per ticket has been set. For more information or to register, readers may call 717-393-6089 or visit http://www.assetspa.org.
