Museum Posts Program Slate

The current visitor center gallery exhibit is "Thrown, Fired and Glazed: The Redware Traditions From Pennsylvania and Beyond."

Plein Air Sunday: A Celebration of Traditional Craft will be held on Sept. 1 from noon to 5 p.m. in the Millstone Grove. Juried artists and traditional craftspeople will exhibit and sell their work and compete for a top prize.

The Wool Frolic and Yarn Sale will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature live animals, fiber vendors, demonstrations and hands-on activities revolving around the fiber arts.

Escape Experience will be offered on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will focus on the year 1777, when the Continental Congress fled Philadelphia to escape the British.

Upcoming classes will explore penny rug applique, hand sewing an overcap or hood for winter, making tin punch Christmas ornaments, making a needle-felted pumpkin, basic beginning needle tatting, and Paint Night at the museum store.
