YFC Will Hold Mason-Dixon Run

On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Mason-Dixon Run will take place. It will begin and end in Taneytown, Md., at the Harney Volunteer Fire Department, crossing into Pennsylvania, running along Mason-Dixon Road and through The Links of Gettysburg golf course community. Runners can choose to run the 5K or 10K course, with anyone preferring to walk being welcome to take part in the 5K.

Registration fees have been set, with proceeds benefiting Mason-Dixon Youth for Christ (YFC). There will be cash prizes for the winners of each division thanks to the run's prize sponsor, Wealth Builders CPAs and Consultants of Westminster, Md. All runners who register by Tuesday, Oct. 1, will receive a run shirt, and all 10K runners will receive a finisher medal. Day-of-the-event registration will be available from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.

Mason-Dixon YFC serves both Pennsylvania and Maryland. Youths benefit from weekly club meetings, after-school events, conferences, camps and other activities geared toward teaching teenagers about their own self-worth. Mason-Dixon YFC is a support system of caring, professional adults who listen, provide mentoring and remind youths of God's love for them.
