York College of Pennsylvania is one of 18 colleges and universities participating in the American Council on Education's (ACE) 17th Internationalization Laboratory cohort. Over the next 20 months, York College and other cohort member institutions will develop strategies and goals for campus internationalization, with the goal of long-lasting institutional change. Each will form leadership teams to work on strategic planning and student outcomes; attend meetings in Washington, D.C.; participate in site visits and peer reviews; and engage in monthly communication with ACE staff and a team of advisers.
York College was selected from institutions around the country and the world for the program. Through participation in the program, York College will complete an audit of the opportunities for its campus to increase study abroad, international recruitment, and international partnerships, as well as to internationalize the curriculum.
Since 2002, more than 150 institutions have participated in the program. ACE is a higher education association that represents all types of U.S. accredited, degree-granting institutions, including two-year and four-year and public and private.
